Risen Electric is a faith driven electrical contractor based in Florence, Kentucky, serving Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area. We provide residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical services, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, repairs, lighting, panels, EV chargers, generators, and electrical upgrades. Our goal is pretty simple: do quality work, treat people right, be honest with our customers, and operate our business in a way that honors Christ.
What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?
I always enjoyed figuring out how stuff works, and while growing up my dad always told me to learn and go into a trade someday. So when the opportunity came to enter into the electrical field, I took it!
How did you come to faith in Christ?
I grew up going to church in the summers while living with my dad. During the school years I lived up north in Minnesota and my mom did not attend church. While living with my mom and siblings it was hard not having our dad around due to their divorce. Naturally I resented all of it, and began down a path of poor choices. Through some very hard times I eventually ended up living with my dad again in Kentucky when I was 18 and he always demonstrated what it meant and looked like to follow Jesus. The more I read the Bible and surrendered to my life to Jesus everything started to change, until one day everything changed for me and every time I fall, I know how to get back up and give whatever I’m going through to Jesus. I knew the Lord was always pulling me back even when I thought I wasn’t good enough. I owe it all to my Lord and Savior Jesus!
How does your faith impact the way you do business?
My faith impacts everything about how I try to run Risen Electric. I believe we’re called to work hard, be honest, treat people with respect, and do the right thing even when no one is watching. We’re not perfect, but we try to put Christ at the center of our business and let our actions speak for what we believe. Whether it’s how we treat a customer, the quality of our work, or how we treat each other as a team, I want Risen Electric to be a bright light in a fallen world.
What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
We have a heart for helping people in need, especially widows, seniors, and families who may be going through a difficult season. We believe God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. Whenever we have the opportunity, we try to use what God has given us, whether that’s our time, resources, or electrical skills, to help someone who truly needs it. For us, it’s simply about loving our neighbors and putting our faith into action.
