At Trimbach Digital Media & Marketing Agency, we’re helping organizations navigate the biggest communication shift in 500 years. Your website isn’t just a digital space—it’s how you connect, inspire, and grow in today’s world.

We design beautiful, user-focused websites that make your message clear and your impact unforgettable. The next generation of marketing is here, and we’re here to help you lead it.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do today?

I first stepped into the world of web design while serving as a pastor at my local church. As a Gen Z individual, I strongly desired to see our church’s digital presence go to the next level to better connect with my generation. For Gen Z, the first stop when discovering anything new is a website. If you don’t have one—or if it’s outdated—chances are, they’ll move on. We don’t want to call or show up in person right away. We want to read about you, see photos of your service, and schedule an appointment online.

Recognizing this, I sought to revamp our church’s entire online strategy. The results were incredible: attendance grew from 800 to 1,200 in just eight months, and our social media followers more than doubled within six months. Seeing how an intentional digital strategy could make such a tangible impact ignited a passion I never expected.

I love helping others grow their organizations by navigating the largest communication shift in 500 years. Web design is more than just creating beautiful sites—it’s about connecting people to what matters most in a way that resonates with how we engage today.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

While I grew up in a Christian home, I truly came into my faith in Christ at 17 after a deeply personal and radical encounter with Him that changed everything. I had grown up around the church, but it wasn’t until that moment when I was at one of my lowest points in life that I truly understood the depth of His love and the life He was calling me to live. It was no longer about religion—it became a relationship. That encounter set me on a path of surrender, purpose, and a desire to live fully for Jesus.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

My faith is at the heart of everything I do in business. For me, it’s all about helping people—whether that’s individuals or organizations. The idea of serving others, especially those in need, is deeply rooted in my belief that Christ calls us to be His hands and feet in the world. When I partner with businesses, I see it as an opportunity to help them thrive, and I believe Christ is working through those relationships to make a difference. It’s not just about providing a service—it’s about building trust, offering support, and making a lasting impact.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

As a full-time staff member at my local church, I’m deeply involved in the creative elements of ministry, including website management and upkeep, along with many other pastoral responsibilities. My role allows me to blend creativity and service, championing the importance of relationships in everything I do.

This commitment to relationships mirrors how I approach business. Who I am in ministry is who I am in business—you get the same person in every interaction. I strive to be a man of integrity, honoring the Lord in my work, my relationships, and how I serve others. Whether it’s through ministry, business, or my personal life, my goal is to build genuine connections and reflect Christ in every part of my life.

The Chimney Guys is a full-service chimney and fireplace company. We are dedicated to the highest level of chimney care by investing in continuing classroom education, hands-on industry training, and safety. We help with everything ranging from the importance of an annual inspection and chimney sweep to a brand-new fireplace or rebuild.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do today?

Chimneys aren’t really something you seek out to be a part of, but they seek you. I was 15 years old when I worked my first job cold call telemarketing for a chimney company that my dad worked at.

In 2004 my father started The Chimney Guys as a single truck operator. In 2018 when he unexpectedly passed away, the company closed. About 1.5 years later as a single mother of 4, I lost my home, my children had to live with their father, and I filed for bankruptcy. I had nothing.

It was at this time I took my dad’s old paper copy customer service records. I started calling people like I learned to do when I was 15. I started going out to chimney appointments in a car I hadn’t been able to make a payment on for over a year and a 40’ fiberglass ladder. Within 2 months my life and new business were flourishing. It is now my responsibility to provide this opportunity for an amazing career to others who will be able to make an impact on their families.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

As a child, my father took me to church so I had a foundation. As a teen and adult, I kind of lost sight of Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. When God brought me my husband, he reintroduced Christ into my life and I’ve been growing in my personal relationship with him ever since.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

At The Chimney Guys, we do our best to lead every day by Matthew 5:16 to “let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” With the passing of my father, this scripture is held close to my heart to glorify both of my Fathers in heaven. We do this by providing the best service and really taking care of our clients. It’s amazing the types of divine appointments that are set up. We pray with so many of our clients and without us even saying anything, many times they pray over us in their home for exactly the thing God knows we need.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

We do a lot of in-home ministry with our clients and do our best to be a good example for our employees. We take part in prison ministry, children’s ministry, and community ministry. It is important for us to share the gospel with others who may be hurting or hopeless and need healing.

At Keelcon Inc., we build more than structures; we build lasting relationships with our clients.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do today?

As a third-generation owner of Keelcon Inc., my inspiration stems from a deep family legacy in construction. Growing up, I was surrounded by the art and craft of building, which ignited my passion for creating structures that stand the test of time. Beyond the physical aspect, I’ve always been drawn to the engineering challenges this field presents. It’s incredibly fulfilling to work through complex problems and learn from others, whether it’s mastering new techniques or collaborating with a talented team. My journey has been a blend of tradition, passion, and continuous learning.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

I was fortunate to be raised in a Christian home, one that was not only centered on faith but also welcoming to people of all races, creeds, and backgrounds. This openness deeply shaped my understanding of God’s love and grace. Throughout my life, I was surrounded by friends who shared this Christian faith, which further strengthened my connection to the teachings of Christ.

However, it was during times of personal hardship and challenges that my faith truly deepened. In those moments, the Word of God and the cause of Christ took root in my heart, offering me strength and comfort when I needed it most. I also experienced the profound presence of God, hearing His voice speaking to me in ways that were undeniable. It is through these experiences that I came to a committed faith in Christ, one that continues to guide me daily.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

My faith serves as the guiding principle for our business model at Keelcon Inc. It shapes not only how we conduct ourselves but also how we approach every project, from planning to execution. Faith teaches us the importance of ethics, integrity, and fairness—values that are woven into every aspect of our work. It sets the standard for our daily approach, where our priority is to honor God first, ensuring that we deliver products and services in a way that is pleasing to Him.

This mindset naturally leads to a business practice that puts the customer’s needs at the forefront, while ensuring that personal ambitions or profits come last. By keeping faith at the center, we strive to provide service that is not only high in quality but also deeply rooted in doing what is right.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

Byron is a licensed and ordained minister honored to serve as the Associate Minister, Administration Officer, Adult Sunday School Teacher, and Co-Director of Vacation Bible School at The First Baptist Church of West College Hill in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he has dedicated 15 wonderful years.

When I was a very young boy, I would saw boards, hammer nails, and drill holes in scrapboards to make toys.

Building a client’s dream kitchen or bath has become my favorite thing in the business. We also enjoy many other projects, like flooring, decks, concrete patios, and driveways.

My husband opened our first location in July 2018. The plan had always been to get our sons through college and then I would leave my job and work with him. God had other plans. He sent us the opportunity to open our second location, which we opened in July of this year. I took a leap of faith and quit my job to run the location in Vandalia. I fully trust God to provide.

How did you come to faith in Christ?
I grew up in the church. I have always had a strong faith in God. God has brought me through so much. I always knew I could come to him and he would give me the strength I needed to face anything.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?
My faith allows me to have empathy, to be kind and non-judgmental. I treat everyone the way I would want them to treat my mother. We may be the only Jesus they see that day. Love like God.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
Before leaving my job I have always worked with children. If they brought up the subject of God, I would freely talk to them about what God means to me. My husband and I also donate time and money to organizations that provide food, clothing, and Christmas presents to families in need.

Creekside Family Dental is a general dental office that prides itself on personalized attention with conservative treatment.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?
My father is a dentist, like his father and uncle. I wanted to do something that allowed me to spend plenty of time with my family while being able to provide for them. I saw this as a perfect fit.

How did you come to faith in Christ?
I received Christ when I went to church camp as a child. I had attended church most of my young life but decided to make His sacrifice count for me while enjoying camp with friends.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?
I am here to serve and not to take. While I need to provide for my family, I know that I will be blessed by the Lord regardless. This approach to dentistry and security allows me to only recommend needed dentistry.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
I enjoy serving, while able, in Haiti with our church as we have a long-term partnership with a church there. We serve practical medical and dental needs while getting people connected with Bible-believing churches in the Jacmel area. It is very fulfilling to serve in this capacity. I also enjoy sharing my faith locally and making patients feel comfortable in the chair while under my dental care. My wife and I also serve in our church to varying degrees as our family grows.

Have you ever signed a contract with someone, only to find out that the job wasn’t done to your satisfaction: shoddy workmanship, unfinished job, couldn’t contact them, cost you more than expected, etc.?

At Five Star Bath Solutions, we’ve made it our mission to make sure this doesn’t happen to you. Our number one priority is customer service and satisfaction:

We use only the highest quality products
We train and certify all of our technicians
We work exclusively on bathroom remodels
All of this is done to make sure you are happy with the end results.

We make it easy from the initial appointment, the design meeting, to the final installation. Your satisfaction is our priority. No construction project goes off without a hitch, but our goal is to get it as close to perfect as possible.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?
I have always loved the process of seeing a space transform. In the Bible, the word for this process is metamorphosis and is mentioned in Romans 12:1-2 as it talks about transformation by the renewing of our mind. The Greek word is “μεταμορφόω ” = metamorphoó: to change form.

An office job is fine and dandy but I would much rather see a customer’s house experience metamorphosis through the renewing of the bathroom space.

I started Five Star Bath Solutions to give customers an option for a great-looking shower without the big price tag. Many custom bathroom projects today cost anywhere from $30k-50k. Our process allows you to only pay for what you need. By turning out a high volume of these showers we can keep our material costs down and pass along those savings to the customer.

How did you come to faith in Christ?
I grew up as a second-generation believer. My dad was a worship pastor and I would go to church with him early on Sunday mornings to run slides for the projector or play the keyboard in the band. When I was 18 I went to Cincinnati Christian University where I played college baseball with some great guys who now are pastors all across this region. I spent 10 years as a worship minister myself before switching my vocation to helping people with their home renovation projects.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?
I strive to take care of my customers first and trust that God will take care of me as I do that.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
I faithfully support the Lord’s Gym as it serves urban areas in Cincinnati. I grew up in Price Hill and the work that this ministry is doing in the West Side of Cincinnati is so encouraging to see.

  • 4:13 EkoMovers USA
  • The Healthy Bee
  • EkoRoofers

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?

Everyone needs help from time to time. Whether it’s moving, junk removal, seal coating, roofs, access to healthy nutritional items, a great place to buy a Bible or just solid scriptural-based business advice. We SERVE. My father was a pastor and one of my favorite sermons that he preached was: “Love, Loves to Serve!”

In this life, you will either demand service or you will serve others. Jesus the Christ served others. We must do our best for him.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

Raised by dynamic parents who were married for 60 years, I not only have the blessed hope of eternal salvation but I have been saved from so many of the snares of the devil. I accepted Jesus the Christ as my Lord and Savior at 5 years old.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

A business is limited to the resources of the owner. I came to the understanding that I do not own anything on this earth. If the businesses are owned by God, there is NO LIMIT to his resources! I understand that I am a steward, a supervisor of what God has put in my hands. I am accountable to all our customers and to God himself. We conduct ourselves according to this understanding.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

I am the Chairman of the Community Pregnancy Center in Middletown, OH. We supply everything a new baby needs from birth to Kindergarten at no cost. Food, formula, diapers, high chairs, car seats, strollers, clothes, bibs, everything! Our staff counsels pregnant mothers and provides training and support for new moms.

The Darlene Bishop Home for Life in Monroe takes in pregnant mothers and provides a safe, loving, environment for ladies and babies who have no where else to stay. This incredible ministry has touched many lives over the years!

I completely support the Kid’s Ranch Foster Care programs located at Solid Rock Church in Monroe, OH. So many of our young people have had a terrible start in life and need Christ-centered education and training.

We have also been part of starting hundreds of Christian Schools across the country over the past 30 years.

Midwest PROTECH, LLC is a technology services company based in Cincinnati, Ohio – Bridgetown. We specialize in providing comprehensive computer, managed services, and networking support to both small businesses and residential clients across the Greater Cincinnati Area.

We’re highly rated with the BBB, Angie’s List, Google, Christian Blue, and other review sites like Yahoo, Facebook, etc. But most importantly, our clients tell other people about us all the time.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?

We discovered early on that many of our clients had no idea who to trust or turn to when dealing with computer issues. As with taking the car to the mechanic, most computer users don’t know if a computer technician is honest when recommending an expensive “necessary” service. We have heard plenty of stories of how “messed up” someone’s computer was, only to find the solution was a very simple and inexpensive fix. Unfortunately, basic issues can turn out to be very expensive when improperly diagnosed.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

At the young age of 12, at the First Baptist Church of Auburn, guided by the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit. I felt the love of Jesus and accepted it with all my heart. It was like a warm hug from God. He gave me something special called grace, which means He forgives us even when we don’t deserve it. I didn’t do anything to earn it, but Jesus still gave it to me because he loves me. Today as I write this I am humbled by the depth of His mercy and awestruck by His unfailing kindness. Truly, our God reigns supreme, ever gracious, ever merciful, an awe-inspiring testament to His boundless love.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

Faith can have a significant impact on a business in various ways. Firstly, it can shape the values and ethics of the business, guiding decision-making and fostering a culture of honesty, integrity, and compassion. Secondly, faith can inspire a commitment to serving others and making a positive difference in the community, enhancing the company’s reputation, and building trust with customers. Faith can offer perseverance in challenging times, encouraging perseverance and hope amidst adversity that all business owners experience. Overall, integrating faith into business practices can lead to a more fulfilling and successful business.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

My business partner Matthew and his wife Shantel are actively involved in the marriage ministry. Their faith in Christ strengthens their own marriage, and they’re committed to helping other couples build lasting relationships. They’ve witnessed too many people giving up on their marriages, so they want to offer support and encouragement to those facing challenges. Additionally, our business supports Matthew 25 ministries, as they provide crucial aid worldwide during times of disaster.

Renew Paint and Power Wash is a residential interior and exterior painting company that aims to serve the central Ohio area through a lived practice of core values, like Knowing Christ and making Him known, adding value to all that we do, being disciplined and accountable, having a growth mindset, and being wholesome. Through these core values, we ultimately aim to be a place where people can grow into the fullness of Christ. That is the hope for ourselves as owners and for all our employees.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?

What initially inspired us to get into painting homes was realizing that it was a great and easy way to transform a home. The context of the job site of painting inside of people’s homes and on their property lent itself to meaningful connections and conversations with clients and employees to help make the most of the time.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

(Ryan) I was not raised in a household of faith. But in high school, I was invited to church for the first time by a friend. After attending for a short while and being exposed to the gospel for the first time, I put my hope and faith in Christ. I was hungry for spiritual food and was being fed by a good community and good teaching.

(Nate) I grew up in a Christian home and I professed faith at some point around middle school. I grew a lot during my time at Moody Bible Institute and would say it was there that I more fully understood that Christ is Lord and King and that I can’t earn his forgiveness but it is by grace through faith in Christ alone that I am united to Him. This is something that I’m continually reminded of each and every week through hearing the preached Word of God, times of confessing sin, being assured of my forgiveness, and partaking in communion.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

Our faith is the grid we filter the how and why we do business. Living an integrated life where our work, our family, our ministry is all under the great reality that Jesus is King. There isn’t a compartmentalized life. Jesus has something to say to all areas of our lives.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

Being made into a better disciple is something that has greatly increased in passion and urgency in this season of our lives.  We are becoming more convinced that if each Christian had that heart and mind to become a better disciple of Christ, the world around them would truly change. The Great Commission was to make disciples of all nations. We want to be made into better disciples. We want to make disciples of Christ. We think making disciples of Christ is the most urgent need of our age. We believe that being a part of our local churches is one of the most important ways that this can all happen.

I’ve always been drawn to fixing things and solving problems hands-on. Plumbing felt like the perfect blend of practical skill and helping others. Plus, there’s something satisfying about knowing you’re essential to keeping homes and businesses running smoothly.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

My journey to faith in Christ began with a search for meaning and purpose in life. Through encounters with believers, reading scripture, and experiencing the love of God in various ways, I gradually came to understand and accept Christ as my savior. It’s been a journey of growth, challenges, and profound joy.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

My faith shapes the way I do business by guiding my decisions with principles of honesty, integrity, and compassion. It influences how I treat customers, employees, and suppliers with respect and fairness, striving to reflect Christ’s love in all interactions. Ultimately, my faith compels me to seek excellence in my work as a form of service to others and to honor God.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

We champion ministries that align with the values of our local church, such as providing aid to those in need. Our church community emphasizes compassion, stewardship, and making a tangible difference in the lives of others. Hill Financial Strategies is a financial planning firm focused on building relationships with clients for life.  Located in the heart of Madeira, with clients spread out across the country, we take pride in our comprehensive planning approach.

We collaborate with clients by reviewing their current financial information and understanding their objectives, uncovering opportunities, and creating a plan custom-tailored to their needs. We then implement and monitor the plan making necessary adjustments along the way to ensure success.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?

Hill Financial Strategies is a family business.  My father, Shawn, started the business in 1991 seven months before I was born, so you can say I grew up around the business and I always had an interest in it.

I enjoy client relationships and providing a valuable and important service.  We give families peace of mind as they work toward financial stability and seek to secure what they have worked hard to build.  Investment management is part of what we do, but it’s the unique planning strategies we bring to the table that help each client/family maximize their resources.  Leveraging these advanced planning concepts sets us apart from other advisors.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

My faith has grown more in the last 10 years than in any other period of my life.  I have always believed that God exists, but had not really invested in what that means, and more specifically what it means for me, until recent years.

My brother participated in Youth Ministry at our church, Horizon Community Church, from junior high school through graduation.  I was “too busy” to participate in such things at the time.  As he grew in his faith, I saw what an incredible impact it had on him and our family.  I was curious, so we began to attend services at Horizon as a family regularly.  My curiosity skyrocketed when my wife, Alex, and I began dating.  Faith has always been very important to her, and she encouraged me to dig deeper into mine.

In short time I have come to full belief and an awesome walk with Christ.  I got baptized in the presence of friends and family, including the men of my Bible study.  Alex and I are blessed to be parents of two, a boy and a girl, and we are excited to raise them to know Jesus.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

Our business is rooted in relationships.  We help our clients navigate some of the most important life decisions they will ever make. Our fiduciary responsibility to always act in our clients’ best interest is at the core of everything we do, and we are humbled by the trust placed in us and the opportunity to serve them and their families.

Financial planning is a marathon, not a sprint.  Our work often spans several generations, and there are many factors at play.  I believe that faith in God directly aligns with our fiduciary responsibilities to our clients.  The ways in which God calls us to live and relate to those in our community are congruent to the moral standards we are held to as advisors.  The relationships we develop are fruitful not only for the families we serve but the broader communities in which they live.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

My favorite aspect of our work is helping clients create a legacy both for family and community.  We are blessed to work with individuals and families who are vested in their communities and are incredibly philanthropic.  We help them integrate solutions to ensure their favorite causes and ministries continue to receive gifts beyond their lifetimes. When done properly, not only does this type of planning ensure the gifts to charity continue in perpetuity, but it also imbues the value of giving in future generations by engaging them in the process.

We practice what we preach.  We support several causes/ministries both “hands-on” and through financial giving.  Some of these organizations include Horizon Community Church, Back2Back Ministries, the Karen Wellington Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association, Aruna Project, Folds of Honor, and Tunnel to Towers.

A full list of charitable organizations we support can be found on our website.

Dale Robertson Jewelry is a custom jewelry creator. Using the earth’s most rare and valuable elements, we create heirlooms to be worn and loved for generations. We are a diamond importer, jewelry designer, and diamond and gemstone setters, with an in-store repair center working on your jewelry. We sell mined, natural, and lab-manufactured diamonds in all sizes, shapes, and qualities.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?

While attending college for Graphic Design, I worked in the camera department of a department store with several cases of jewelry just a few steps away. Once I sold a couple of diamonds, the company asked me to expand the jewelry department from 5 to 20 showcases. Once the department was set up, the company hired a person with jewelry experience who took me under his wing and began teaching me about jewelry. Over the next 50 years, Idar learned as much as I could about jewelry and jewelry manufacturing.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

I first accepted Christ as a 7-year-old when our church brought in an evangelist. After high school, I drifted away from the faith. When my wife and I were going through a miscarriage in 1982, I did the only thing I knew – that was to pray. I then rededicated my life to Christ and have worked to spread the Gospel. My mission field has been in the business arena.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

I am held to a higher standard than non-believers and try to run my business with biblical methods. I will only offer what I believe to be the best quality diamonds and jewelry at fair prices. I don’t believe in raising a price only to offer a deceptive and dishonest discount. I hold my vendors and services to a high standard and demand their best.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

I support life. Christ gave me life and I believe I need to do what I can to bring life to others. I also will support local, national, and international ministries to help spread the Gospel.

Dean’s Landscaping Inc. provides Landscape installation and hardscapes (Pavers, Retaining Walls, Stonework, etc.), and has a full-service Concrete Division.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?

As a child, I liked to work outside with my hands and run equipment. I saw the opportunity to mow our neighbor’s lawns, which then led to the beginning of our business. We also had the opportunity to learn about the concrete industry as children by visiting job sites and working alongside a family friend.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

When I was about 12 or 13 years old, the Holy Spirit weighed on my heart that I needed to accept Christ, and I asked my Dad that night to pray with me and I accepted Jesus into my Life.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

We try to run our business with Christian principles, honesty, integrity, treating others like we want to be treated, and hopefully showing Christ to others through those values.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

One ministry that we regularly work with is Hope Rising Women’s Center. We believe in their cause of helping pregnant women choose life for their unborn babies and providing many resources and support throughout the pregnancy and after.

Missy & Shahne Stone of SoldBuyStone, LLC, are full-time realtors serving the Southwest Ohio Cincinnati/Dayton corridor. They have over 15 years of experience serving both residential and commercial buyers and sellers and are ICON and Circle of Excellence Award Winners.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?

Missy has worked in sales or customer service for most of her career. She loves helping people, so putting her sales skills with real estate was a natural collaboration. Missy especially enjoys helping young families find the perfect home!

Shahne has been a pastor for 25 years and also has a corporate background. He joined Missy to help with support and marketing to take the SoldBuyStone Team to the next level.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

Shahne is a Pastor’s Kid and came to receive Christ as his Savior at the young age of 5 during a youth camp that his parents were directors of. The Lord was moving during the nightly service and fell upon Shahne in the back of the sanctuary. He was crying and when his family noticed this, they checked on him to see if he was ok. After speaking with him for a moment, his father realized the Spirit of God was calling Shahne and at that moment, so his father led him through the prayer of repentance.

Praise the Lord, and also for keeping Shahne his entire life in an unwavering walk with Christ Jesus. Shahne is now an Ordained Pastor and serves God with all his heart.

Missy grew up in church her entire life and was saved while in her elementary years. She started serving at a young age due to her parent’s role in the church. Upon dating and marrying Shahne, they continued to serve the church in many lay ministry and pastoral areas.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

There is no doubt that our faith and walk with Christ flow through our business and activities. We have served our clients with the utmost character and service, as we know that we work “as unto the Lord”, and not just our clients. All of our business comes from God, and we serve everyone with the utmost respect and integrity.

We fulfill the same level of service, quality, and effort for all client levels and treat them all as family. We pray over each client, their transaction, and the process of closing. We don’t stop there, as we also provide quality service after the transaction closes. If our client needs a painter, plumber, foundation specialist, loan officer, construction, or just about anything you can think of, they call us for our contact list.

We work with some great people covering all aspects of owning or renting a property and are always just a phone call away. We are so thankful for our repeat clients as it reveals the heart of our business which is relational and not just transactional.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

Shahne is currently the Associate Pastor of West Chester Nazarene Church and oversees the executive parts of the church as well as the daycare and the men’s and women’s ministries.  He also helps plan services, plays/sings with the worship team, and also preaches the Word of God many times throughout the year.

Missy is part of the First Impressions team, production, and lady’s ministry council, and serves West Chester Nazarene as a pastor’s wife. She also serves at the Warren County Board of Elections during voting season.

Together they support Elizabeth New Life Center (Right to Life), the Republican Women’s Club of Warren County, and sponsor a few local pastors and smaller churches.

Michael Bishop, The Cooler Real Estate Agent with Howard Hanna Real Estate in New Albany, Ohio. Michael is an experienced real estate pro. With over 9 years in new home construction sales and 9 years as a licensed real estate agent, Michael helps clients: Buy Sell Have Fun & Know the Numbers.

So what is the Cooler Real Estate Agent about? That’s part of the typical gift for clients after closing on the purchase or sale of property – a large cooler usually containing some of the client’s favorite beverages. Plus some other “cool” stuff.

Whether you are a buyer or seller, Michael tries to provide data, stats, and numbers. It helps understand the range of values for similar properties. High. Low. Average.

Michael believes knowledge is the key to helping empower clients. Whether they are buying or selling.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?

My father was a WWII Navy veteran, and while he did not have more than a high school education, he taught me a lot. He worked as an electrician for the Rural Electrification of America (REA), which was bringing power to rural areas around Coshocton with no electricity. He could do heating, insulation, plumbing, roofing, auto/truck mechanic, and of course, electric. While I admit I often didn’t enjoy helping him, I now wish I had paid more attention and helped more.

However, I did learn enough to help me understand the basics of heating, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical components in buildings and homes. Add to that selling new construction and watching land turn into roads, with sewer and all utilities. Then watching the construction of homes. Dirt. Hole in the ground. Footers. Foundations. Decking. Walls. Then all the various trades to get to complete, and handing over keys to a brand new home. It’s all quite inspiring.

As a real estate agent I mostly now handle the purchase or sale of existing housing and an occasional new build. But the fatherly lessons, plus the 9 years in new construction make what I do… a joy and it’s particularly warming to me when these experiences help me assist my clients. My goal is to make my clients better informed, and more knowledgeable. Knowledge = Power, or Confidence.

How did you come to faith in Christ?

It started as a child, in Coshocton, Ohio, where my parents attended the Park United Methodist Church. The Pastor was Reverend Rahrig. I was young but I can still recall sitting through quiet, almost lazy sermons. Then the Pastor would get to the key points and the entire church, including the rafters, would be shaking with his powerful culmination of the message. There was no one nodding off!

Over the years in the Columbus area I’ve attended a few churches but none had that hometown feel until we came to the Johnstown United Methodist Church; led by Pastor Matthew Van Winkle. While his style is completely different, the messages of the Gospel, truth, the path to forgiveness, and belief are warm and inviting. The selection of older hymns is varied and sung by the choir, and, at times, guest members. It’s a warm community of worshipers.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?

The first thing to remember about real estate is the Fair Housing Act: “In the process of buying, selling, renting or engaging in other housing-related transactions, it is illegal to discriminate based on religion under the Fair Housing Act.”  With that said, it means discrimination should never be a part of the process. While I do not ask the faith of my clients, it is clear some have different faiths or none at all.

Some aspects of the real estate business, buying and selling, involve some opinion and judgment. While that is not completely avoidable, I try to use facts to guide clients. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I try to guide clients based on the numbers. I refer to this as “Know the Numbers.” This means looking at closed sales of largely similar properties in the nearby area. The goal with the data, numbers, and stats is to educate the client so they feel more knowledgeable about the decisions being made to buy, or sell.

In every transaction, I try to imagine the client was my own family member. They make all the decisions. In rare situations I feel they are not making the best choice; I’ll typically review the facts and make sure they are choosing with all information considered.

The goal is to always do what I believe might be the path Jesus would have followed.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?

Undies. A recent cause my wife and I contributed to through the JUMC was undies. Underwear for people in need in West Virginia. The church collected donations for over a month and then delivered to very rural, poor areas in West Virginia through other ministries in the local area.
