What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?
I attended Cincinnati Christian University and it was there that I sought wisdom for my career and God put it on my heart to help children and families with their emotional and spiritual health.
How did you come to faith in Christ?
I was blessed to be born into a family who loved Christ and ministry. My parents were missionaries and we lived in South America and then in Miami, FL planting Hispanic churches. Throughout that time I worked with the children in our churches and felt so connected to the ministry and care of children and families. As an adult my relationship with Christ and connection to His kingdom has grown. I have raised my own children to love and follow Him and am blessed that they have found their place in ministry.
How does your faith impact the way you do business?
My approach to counseling is based on the idea that true emotional health is found in our identity as children of God and living in alignment with the guidance in His word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. God created our mind, spirit and body to work together for His glory and counseling is a great place to explore that and integrate those parts of us.
What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
Music ministry and children’s ministry have always been close to my heart. Both allow me to serve in a way that nurtures the body of Christ and allows for creativity and joy.
