The mission of the Christian Blue Pages is to rally the body of Christ in support of one another in business and ministry across denominational, racial, and ethnic lines through our print, web, and mobile app Christian business directory community.

Useful search tools guide consumers to direct financial resources towards Kingdom-minded Christian-owned and operated businesses. Support Christian Businesses – we found them for you.

What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?
I was leading the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) chapter at the University of Cincinnati, and was asked by a friend and Christian business owner from my church if I’d be interested in selling advertising for a new company that he, a pastor in Dayton, and a captain in the Air Force at Wright Patterson had started. They were planning on releasing a Christian business directory for the first time that fall of 1991 that covered the CIN, DAY, and COL areas.

The FCS leader at the University of Dayton, and the FCS leader at the Ohio State University (my sister Julene) were also asked, and we all accepted and formed the initial sales team of what now has, for over 30 years, been known as the Christian Blue Pages.

How did you come to faith in Christ?
I was raised in a church, and knew about Christ (and believed in Him), but never really understood what that all really meant. After graduating from Ohio State, I moved to Cincinnati to start a career in sports broadcasting, and moved in with two born-again believers (that my sister set me up with) in an apartment just off the UC campus.

After doing “my own thing” for a couple months, I began to notice my roommates were living purposeful, others-centered lives, and believed in a God that was bigger than the God I had believed in growing up.

I started reading the Bible, starting with the Gospels, then came to Romans 5:8 “God demonstrates His own love towards us in this, that while we’re still sinners, Christ died for us.” I realized I was a sinner in need of a Savior, and that Savior was Jesus. I repented of my sins, surrendered my life to Christ, and have been taking up my cross and following Him ever since.

How does your faith impact the way you do business?
I have come to realize that there should be no sacred vs. secular divide between your personal life and your business life. As long as the work we do is not sinful, every occupation/job is sacred in the eyes of God.

I believe I’m a missionary disguised as an advertising executive, called to do to three main things: encourage Christians in business to intentionally incorporate their faith in the way they operate in business, to exhort the body of Christ to support one another in business and ministry across denominational and racial lines, and to be an inspiring worshipper of the Lord before the eyes of a watching world.

What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
By the grace of God and the work I do, I have been blessed to champion many Christian non-profits, including marketplace ministries like At Work on Purpose and G7 Networking, pro-life ministries like Life Forward and Hope Rising, and life-transforming ministries like City Gospel Mission and the Dayton Gospel Mission.
