Business Description: Danco Transmission & Auto Care provides Full Line Automotive Repair, offering repair and service for virtually every make and model, and specializing in Transmission and Air Conditioning work. They have been serving the Cincinnati area since 1970!
What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?
Following in our father’s footsteps…our Dad, Dan Stewart started Danco together with our Mother Donna way back in 1970. After I graduated high school, joining the family business was the last thing on my mind. I joined the Navy, went to college, and had just about every job under the sun. One day my older brother Jeff challenged me to join him in our family auto repair business, and I have never looked back. I also got my younger brother Jason to join us and my nephew Mike as well. We are truly a family business…
How did you come to faith in Christ?
At the very early age of 7, I accepted Christ into my life. Through many trials and tribulations otherwise known as “life”, God has always richly blessed me and my family. God has provided a way for us to serve others as well and we try to do just that each day!
How does your faith impact the way you do business?
In multiple ways. It is the best day when I get to call and let someone know that what they thought was going to be a major expense is just a small repair and it can be done for little or no cost. I don’t get to do that every day, but I often get that opportunity and it is really fun to see a customer’s reaction. We always strive to guide our customers and give them choices – people really appreciate that.
What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
We proudly support our church’s food ministry and have serviced and repaired their delivery trucks at no cost for years. They host a farmers market where folks in need can come and get some of the items they need on a weekly basis. This program has fed thousands of people, and we are proud to be a big part of it.
