Master Provisions is a backbone for food insecurity in the tri-state area. We work with over 200 agencies throughout the region to get food into the hands of those who need it most.
What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?
When I returned to school for my second degree, I wanted to use that degree along with my God given talents for His glory. Well, God opened the door to my first ministry position, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving in different roles, each one preparing me for the next. Earlier this year, He led me into the world of fundraising, where I now get to connect resources with ministry in a way that advances His Kingdom.
How did you come to faith in Christ?
I grew up in the church, always believing in God and knowing who Jesus was, but it wasn’t until adulthood that He drew me closer and my faith became real and deeply rooted. By then, I had lived long enough to look back and clearly see His presence at different points in my life. That realization stirred a curiosity in me—what did Scripture really say? Around that time, I discovered contemporary Christian music, began getting more involved in my local church, and my faith grew even stronger. Although I had been baptized as an infant, I wanted to make that choice for myself, so I was rebaptized as an adult. That moment marked the true beginning of my ministry journey.
How does your faith impact the way you do business?
I strive to honor God in both word and deed in every business interaction. That’s one of the reasons I find such joy in working in ministry—it’s a chance to bring a little bit of heaven down to earth and shine His light into a weary world. I know it may sound cliché, but when you truly stop and think about it, it’s an incredible and exciting privilege.
What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
I’ve had the unique privilege of serving in a variety of ministries—teaching ministry, worship ministry, and now the hands-and-feet side of ministry. Each role has given me a deeper and broader perspective of the Body of Christ in action. Across every position, one passion has remained constant: championing every possible opportunity for ministries and Christian business leaders to partner together. My heart is to see these partnerships impact culture and carry forward the ministry of Jesus, just as He did while on earth.
