Women Are Gold is a human trafficking prevention organization dedicated to reshaping the futures of young women and girls in Cambodia. Our mission centers on empowering and uplifting these young women, offering them a clear pathway to a brighter and hope-filled future.
We firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of this future, which is why we provide essential monthly support to help young women from disadvantaged families stay in school and reach their full potential.
In addition, we offer comprehensive anti-trafficking training programs designed for our beneficiaries, their families, and the wider community, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves and foster resilience against trafficking.
What first inspired you to get into your line of work? And what motivates you to do the work you do still today?
In 2015, I took a short-term mission trip to Thailand and Cambodia with an international anti-trafficking organization. During this trip, I encountered and interacted with young women who were trafficked. The trip was life-changing, and I felt compelled to get involved in the mission and do my part to help end human trafficking.
How did you come to faith in Christ?
I grew up in a Christian home; church and faith in God was always a part of my life.
How does your faith impact the way you do business?
My faith is the cornerstone of the work I do with Women Are Gold. We are Christian organization and we believe in spreading the gospel through our actions and our programs.
What ministry/cause do you champion and why?
We focus on the prevention and eradication of human trafficking, which we view as the greatest injustice imaginable. We believe that God has a plan for the young women we work with. Our goal is to help them discover that plan so they can lead impactful and hope-filled lives.
